Bhaja Govindaṁ - Verse 7

बालस्तावत्क्रीडासक्तः 

तरुणस्तावत्तरुणीसक्तः । 

वृद्धस्तावच्चिन्तासक्तः 

परमे ब्रह्मणि कोऽपि न सक्तः ॥ ७॥

बचपन में खेल में रूचि होती है , युवावस्था में युवा स्त्री के प्रति आकर्षण होता है, वृद्धावस्था में चिंताओं से घिरे रहते हैं पर प्रभु से कोई प्रेम नहीं करता है.

Ancestral lineage and Śrāddh

सङ्करो नरकायैव कुलघ्नानां कुलस्य च । 

पतन्ति पितरो ह्येषां लुप्तपिण्डोदकक्रियाः ।।

saṅkaro narakāyaiva kulaghnānāṃ kulasya ca । 

patanti pitaro hyeṣāṃ luptapiṇḍodakakriyāḥ ।।

Purport: When there is increase of unwanted population, a hellish situation is created both for the family and for those who destroy the family tradition. In such corrupt families, there is no offering of oblations of food and water to the ancestors.

Subduing enemies, freedom from unpopularity, gaining physical and military strength.

तटिल्लेखा-तन्वीं तपन शशि वै॒श्वानर मयीं

निष्ण्णां षण्णामप्युपरि कमलानां तव कलाम् ।

महापद्माटव्यां मृदित-मलमायेन मनसा

महान्तः पश्यन्तो दधति परमाह्लाद-लहरीम् ॥ २१ ॥
